We had some friendly competition at work today -- the Electrical Engineering Packaging Group challenged the Electrical Ground Support Equipment Group. Not the most imaginative team names, but what do you expect from a group of engineers? What we got was a fun game of pretty decent quality, a few rocket scientist volleyball jokes (when someone knocked the ball out of bounds he "just gave it an orbit correction"), and a number of skinned knees and sore muscles.
We attended our first ever polo match Saturday at Great Meadow, VA. It was very interesting and a lot of fun. The announcer and the music made us think more of a rodeo than an "upper class" polo event, and we enjoyed the colorful crowd all with picnic baskets, lawn chairs and wine.
